![]() ![]() Thank you Microsoft for not including a HP LaserJet 1012 driver in Vista, thank you HP for not developing a LaserJet 1012 driver and thank you LinkSys for not having any compatibility notes for the PSUS4 Print Server drivers (or any other of your print servers for that matter). How does this all work you may ask? I don't know. Install, crash, cancel install, spooler crash, close spooler, reboot. To add additional HP LaserJet 1012s on other PSUS4 Print Servers, the 1012 driver will now be in the Windows Vista printer driver list but the routine is the same. And it works (or at least so far I've gotten a clean test page to print). Reboot the machine and the printer is there in the Vista printer list. ![]() The driver loads for a while then the install crashes, click cancel. I selected hp9xusbp.inf but others would know whether or not that's significant or whether you're just reading from the HP Laserjet 1012 setup disk. Select an existing Print Server port and then use have disk to load the driver. Start Control Panel, Printers and "Add a local printer". Select individual print server(s) port, click next to add port and then cancel on "Add New Printer". Don't worry if you don't know what's your operating system. It is compatible with the following operating Systems: Windows 11 and older. This driver package is available for 32 and 64 bit PCs. Download the latest and official version of drivers for HP LaserJet 1012 Printer. ![]() Check "Configure Print Driver now" and continue. Install the latest driver for HP laserjet 1012. Run Print Server setup software, select "User Install" to install Print Server Driver.
